The Real Cost of Choosing Cheap Industrial Chemicals: Henkel vs. Budget Alternatives
Six years ago, I took over procurement for a mid-sized industrial coatings distributor. Before that, I was the guy who signed off on every purchase order, and I honestly believed brand names were just a tax on people who couldn't read a spec sheet. When I switched our epoxy pool coating supplier to Henkel's product, the first difference I noticed was color consistency between batches. But after six years, four supplier audits, and one very expensive March, I've learned to compare suppliers on total cost, not sticker price. And most of the time, the cheaper option isn't actually cheaper — it just looks that way from the front of the invoice.
